Ellen is a nurse practitioner who serves the homeless and underserved in the city of San Francisco. Almost 10 years ago, Ellen suffered a needle stick injury and contracted both Hepatitis C and HIV. After four years of therapy, she is now cured of her Hepatitis C infection, and her HIV is well-controlled. She is an amazing example of forbearance and courage.
